Lyophilised (before reconstitution)
Freeze-dried peptide is the stable form — that’s why it ships this way, and why transit at ambient temperature is fine. For longer holding, store sealed vials cold and dark: refrigerated for weeks-to-months, frozen for long-term. Keep desiccated; moisture is the enemy of the powder.
Reconstituted (after adding water)
Once in solution the clock starts. Refrigerate at 2–8°C immediately, keep the vial upright and dark, and work within the standard research window — typically up to 4 weeks when reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. Never re-freeze a reconstituted vial; freeze-thaw cycles fracture peptide chains.
The quick rules
| State | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Lyophilised, sealed | Fridge / freezer, dark | Months+ |
| Reconstituted (BAC water) | Fridge 2–8°C | ~4 weeks |
| Reconstituted (sterile water) | Fridge 2–8°C | Days — no preservative |
Australian conditions
Summer transit heat is the most common question we get. Short ambient exposure in shipping does not meaningfully degrade lyophilised peptide — the freeze-dried form exists precisely to survive transport. Refrigerate on arrival and you’re covered.
